Announcement of a New Full-Time Vicar!

A New Vicar for the Parish

We were able to announce on Sunday the appointment of the Revd Andrew Race as the next full-time Vicar of the parish which serves both the town centre and the West Marsh from St Hugh’s and from Grimsby Minster (beginning in September or October).  He was leading the chaplaincy group at the Download Festival at Donington Park at the weekend – he is at present the Vicar of the Castle Donington parish.  He ran his own marketing and consultancy business before training for ordination in 2015.  The diocesan announcement includes; Andrew believes that churches are meant to be places where everyone is welcome, and all are valued. He says “Yes, the primary focus of our life together is about worship that engages all – yet it is also about working well together and serving the needs of our community.”
